A lightly horror themed family friendly co-op board game. Where you have to restore power to the house before the Boogeyman gets you.
Six friends are having a sleepover and watching a scary movie with the Babysitter, when a storm rolls in out of nowhere and knocks out the power for the entire neighborhood. The Babysitter goes to the Garage to start the Generator, but there are missing pieces scattered throughout the house. Just then, the Boogeyman comes to life out of the dark! Everyone must gather items needed for the Generator, and bring them to the Garage so the Babysitter can bring the lights back on and banish the Boogeyman back to the land of nightmares from where he came.
Objective: Bring Generator Item cards to the Babysitter in the Garage to get the Generator running, turn the lights back on, and banish the Boogeyman back to the land of nightmares.
- Setup: Remove the lock card. Shuffle remaining cards and distribute face down as evenly as possible among the Room Card slots at the end of the game board.
- For 2-3 players, lock the Attic and Bedroom 2 rooms with the lock card and do not distribute cards to those room card slots. Use the corresponding spinner that does not include the locked rooms.
- All players start with 5 hearts.
- Player who last saw a scary movie goes first, youngest player breaks a tie.
- Using two actions per turn, spread out and find Generator Item cards, then bring the items to the Garage and drop them off to the Babysitter.
- Actions include any of the following, in any order: moving to the next room, searching the room you are in by drawing a card from that room’s card slot, rolling a die (as needed to escape Basement or Boogeyman), spinning the Boogeyman Wheel, and dropping off each item to the Babysitter after you have made it to the Garage.
- After the 1st round players spin the Boogeyman Wheel at the end of each turn.
- If the Boogeyman lands in the Garage, the Babysitter loses an item at random unless the Babysitter has the Special Item Flashlight Card.
- If the Boogeyman lands in a room occupied by any players, then those players are sent to the Basement unless they can escape by various means.
- If all players die, or end up in the Basement all at the same time, the Boogeyman wins.
- If all Generator Items are successfully delivered to the Babysitter, the players win.
- Tip, use the spinner to keep track of whose turn it is.
